My project aims at understanding the role of membrane curvature in shaping neuronal architecture. To this end, we take advantage of fluorescent microscopy, quantitative image analysis, biochemical assays and mathematical models to investigate membrane dynamics during dendritic filopodia formation and maturation of the dendritic tree.
