Practical courses for high school students
The CRC 1348 offers four-hour practical courses for high school students in autumn and spring, respectively. Under the guidance of experts, students will get the possibily to perform molecular genetic experiments in modern laboratories. During the practical courses different isolation methods of animal and plant DNA and polymerase chain reactions (PCR) will be implemented. Moreover, the students will get a guided tour through the institute with demonstration of different high performance microscopes. For theoretical preparation we offer a script.
The practical courses with max. 20 students will be offered in the Institute of Neuro- and Behavioral Biology (Badestr. 9) in the morning at 8:30 am and in the afternoon at 1:30 pm. Participation requires a successful application (application form: see below).
